In a center-dealt poker game (like you'll find in all casinos), the house takes $1 to $3 per hand off the table as its 'drop', or fee. At the Oak Bowl, there's no drop - you pay $2 for half an hour to rent your seat.
So, instead of giving $1-$3 per hand to the house, each player is responsible for $2 every half an hour. Assuming that there are six players, playing 40 hands an hour, a typical casino will 'drop' nearly $75 an hour.
Those same six players at the Oak Bowl will only pay $24 in seat rental.
"So what?" you might ask.
Here's what - at the end of every hour of play, another $51 will disappear from the table in a typical casino. After 4 hours of play, that's $204.
None of the other players won that money - the six players willingly gave it to the house at the end of each hand.
You should play where the most money stays on the table - and that's at the Oak Bowl!
